Eagle Scout Profile: Eoin McCausland

For his Eagle Scout service project, Eoin led the Ridley Creek State Park Stairway Improvement Project, coordinating volunteers to remove and replace deteriorated stairways that provide access to park trails and improve safety for park visitors.

Following the successful completion of his project and Eagle Board of Review, Eoin celebrated his achievement with a Court of Honor held at Fame Fire Co. in West Chester surrounded by family, friends, fellow Scouts, and former troop members.

Congratulations, Eoin, on leaving a lasting mark on our community and reaching Scouting’s highest rank as the 74th Eagle Scout of Troop 14!

Eagle Scout Profile: Luca Urbanic

Luca Urbanic Eagle Project
Luca Urbanic Eagle Project

For his Eagle project, Luca Urbanic chose to give back to a place close to his heart: West Chester Playschool, run by parents who roll up their sleeves and pitch in to help make the Playschool magic happen every day.

Luca, along with fellow scouts, transformed the school’s basement into a shelter-in-place area for the children. To make it safe and kid-friendly, the space was thoroughly cleaned and painted. Additionally, HVAC equipment was enclosed, and benches with built-in storage were installed.

Luca’s decision to undertake this project stemmed from his own positive experiences as a toddler attending the Playschool, making it a truly meaningful way for him to contribute to the community.

The United Methodist Church in West Chester was the setting for a memorable Eagle Scout Court of Honor, celebrating newly minted Eagle Scouts Luca Urbanic & Benjamin Pentz. After successfully completing their projects and boards of review, the two were joined by an assembly of family, friends, fellow scouts, and former troop members.
